If you have worked at a company at the time it IPO'd, did that have any effect on your personal career? I work at a company that will likely IPO in 2022. After working there several years I've been feeling restless, thinking about moving on. However I'm wondering if it makes sense to hang around until the IPO. I don't mean in a direct financial sense - more whether your employer's IPO led to interesting opportunities, gave you credibility, was really fun, or other positive side-effects.
